This sweet little girl reminds me of someone else...
She reminds me of this sweet little boy.
Love these babies.
Our lives changed forever when our infant son was diagnosed with cancer. Thrown immediately into a world of chemotherapy, hospitalization, transplant, infections, and complications - we fought daily alongside our beautiful, beloved, strong warrior for nearly 18 months. On May 12, 2010 we lost our sweet Collin to an overwhelming infection. This will be my journal as I grieve my precious son.

I'm back! (Maybe)
It's been over a year since I've posted to this blog. A year of grieving, to be sure. I started this blog in the fall of 2009 - believing that my little boy was getting better, that we might soon return home and move away from medical updates and medical treatments. I imagined recording in this blog our new lives as our sweet boy healed and we rejoiced in that healing.
But our sweet baby boy did not receive his healing here.
And in that moment, we lost our joy. And in his place has been unrelenting sadness.
But while we continue to grieve our son, we have welcomed our daughter. And we are beginning to find our joy restored. I'd like to take this blog in a new direction. To share some of our day. To share some sweet pictures of my babies. To share a few of my thoughts. And to record these things for myself. We'll see how it goes.
