I want to post some things on here for myself, because I don't want to forget them. I'll add to the list as I think of things.
Collin was a man of few words, but still very much able to get his point across.
He could say:
Mama
Dada!! (always very enthusiastic)
All done
Night-Night
Cheese ("kee")
Bye-bye
Animal sounds: Moo, Baa!!, "duck" instead of quack, Neigh, Woof, "Mee" for meow,
Doggie "duh-duh"
Elmo (eh-mo)
Moon (moo...) Collin loved to go outside and look at the moon with his Daddy.
He could sign:
Cracker (over and over)
Milk (his bottle)
Food/Hungry
More
Please (when he signed this, he always got a sweet little smile on his face)
Oreo (like twisting an oreo)
All done
Around and around (used for anything he saw that was going around, helicopter blades, thing on tv, toys, wheels on the bus, food in the microwave - he also used this sign to tell us he wanted mac n cheese.)
Plenty of pointing, waving, and blowing kisses
Collin Walker, mama misses your sweet baby voice. I love you.
Our lives changed forever when our infant son was diagnosed with cancer. Thrown immediately into a world of chemotherapy, hospitalization, transplant, infections, and complications - we fought daily alongside our beautiful, beloved, strong warrior for nearly 18 months. On May 12, 2010 we lost our sweet Collin to an overwhelming infection. This will be my journal as I grieve my precious son.
